Physical Therapy Desert Sky's Physical Therapy team is renowned throughout the community for their ability to rehabilitate complicated orthopedic and neurologically impaired patients. These talented therapists customize rehabilitation programs designed specific to the unique needs of each individual including balance, strength training, pain management and therapy training that will quickly get you back on your feet again. We experience excellent outcomes with our patients. Familly members are encouraged to attend therapy sessions and become involved whether your loved one is homebound or becoming a part of our home at Desert Sky.
Occupational Therapy Our Occupational Therapists work with patients who find themselves in need of training to assist with their activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing and grooming. Education and training with specialized adaptive equipment allows patients to perform their everyday activities after an injury, stroke or surgery. Occupational therapy provides for adaptation of a patient's environment for function and safety. This team is highly trained in upper extremity fractures and upper extremity post stroke weakness.
Speech Therapy The Speech Therapy team at Desert Sky provides treatment for language, voice, and articulation disorders as well as retraining patients with memory, thinking and processing problems. They are also very experienced in caring for people with swallowing disorders. Our Speech Therapists work closely with caregivers and family members teaching them techniques for swallowing disorders, cognitive retraining exercises and the use of communication boards to assist in the home environment.
